Sexing Leopard Geckos.  How to determine the sex of your Leopard Gecko.
Do you know if your Leopard Gecko is a male or female?

* Note: Not all Leopard Geckos are built the same and this page is meant to be used as a general guide to sexing
 your Leopard Geckos. So your Leopard Gecko may show more or less sexing characteristics as listed or illustrated below.


How to tell the difference between male and female Leopard Geckos.
Determining The Sex of a Male Leopard Gecko

  • Male Leopard Geckos have Femoral Pores on the underside of their thigh.

  • Males Leopard Geckos have more noticeable V-Shaped Preanal Pores.

  • Male Leopard Geckos show two hemipenal bulges on the base of their tails.
  • Determining The Sex of a Female Leopard Gecko

  • Females Leopard Gecko's femoral pores virtually non-existing.

  • Females Leopard Gecko's preanal pores are virtually non-existing.

  • Female Leopard Geckos do not have 2 hemipenal bulges at the base of their tails.

    Notice the presence of the Femoral Pores, Preanal Pores, and Hemipenal Bulges.
