Comments:
Dr. Bolt is an incredibly experienced exotics vet; in addition to the usual reptile and avian practice, he is also the chief vet for the Western North Carolina Nature Center, where he treats such patients as timber wolves, lynx, cougars, and bald eagles.
As to his regular practice, he is very knowledgable and empathic with reptiles (he is the only vet I’ve ever encountered that had seen a uromastyx prior to mine), yet always willing to listen and try new things with the best health of the animal in mind. Prices are reasonable; expect to pay $40-$50 for an office visit, $15 for a fecal.

I brought my water monitor Schmedley here to have a growth removed from his foot. Very nice place to take your pet. Staff is curtious and friendly. Everyone took turns posing with Schmedley for photos. I think Schmedley enjoyed Dr. Dan and his staff as well as I did. I recommend this vet and his staff for hobbyists that live near around the Raleigh North Carolina area.
