Most central and south american milk snakes

Sexing and Characteristics:

Females are normaly larger than males. This is one of the largest milk snake speices of them all. These guys can reach up to 7 feet but normaly around 4-5 feet.

Mostly Active During:

Night

Substrate and Water Needs:

I use aspen, cypress, new paper, indoor out door carpet, paper towls and reptile bark. Never use pine or ceder as it is deadly to reptiles.

Lighting and UVB:

None

Temperatures and Humidity:

Moderate humidity is required around 65-75 percent. Temps in the low 80’s are great.

Heating and Equipment:

Under tank heaters. I do not recomend heat lamps as they dry out the snake. I had a very bad experience with a heat lamp and a honduran milk snake. Beter save than sorry.

Caging Provided:

Adult need nothing less than a 30 gallon. Babies need smaller enclosures so they feel protected and dont regurge there meal.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

These guys are very agressive feeders and will eat almost anything so dont house them with other snakes smaller than they are. Trust me. I feed mine a diet of nothing but mice. Do not offer large prey items as they wii

Maintenance:

These are one of the lowest maintenance snakes around and are very active.
