Substrate and Water Needs:

The substrate cane be gravel, sand, river rocks, or marbles. If you want to stimulate the natural habitat you should use small gravel or sand. Most tap water can be used but it must be declorinated first.

Lighting and UVB:

Unlike other herps, frogs don’t need UV lighting, or any light at all. If your room gets a little sunlight Then there is no need for one.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Keep the temperature between 72-85 degrees. Humidity is not an option because they live in the water.

Heating and Equipment:

You will only need a heater if yob live in cold climates. I would suggest a filter, but its not necessary. If you do choose to use a filter you must make sure that the frog can’t get caugth in it. It shouldn’t have a Strong current either.

Caging Provided:

You should give at least one gallon per frog. I recomend the standerd ten gallon. It must have a lid asthese frogs are good escape artist.

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Frozen bloodworms can make up most of a dwarf frogs diet. You can also use frozen, freeze dried, or live earth worm pieces, brine shrimp, mealworms, or whiteworms. They will not exept flake food.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

None needed.

Maintenance:

Even whith filter do a partial water change every month.

Some Words on this Species:

Dwarf frogs are great for begeners. But whith their small size rough handling can lead to injury. I advise you noy to handle this animal. Do not pair with aggresive fish or african clawed frogs as they will make a snake out of these little frogs. Feal free to put them with there own find though, as they love company.
