Sexing and Characteristics:

You really can’t tell the diffrence of tadpoles until frogs or toads.

Mostly Active During:

Both

Substrate and Water Needs:

Water from 60-70 degrees. Water should be changed every week unless the water is filtered. Spring or dechornated water is good.

Lighting and UVB:

No heat lamp is required. but a tank heater for the water or heating pad will be in good use for them.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Water should be 75-80 degrees in the day. At night 65-70 degrees.

Heating and Equipment:

Heating pad or heat rock is ok to use when the tadpoles morph into froglets.

Caging Provided:

Something even as small as a jar could be used but tadpoles should be in something spacious. At ten gallon tank is not required but I suggest it.

Diet:

Omnivorous

Description of Diet:

Young tadpoles could eat tetra fish bites or tadpole food (purchesed) at the store. As they grow they will eat something as big as another frog or toad. Feeder fish or crickets meaworms or earthworms can be fed to them asthey grow into froglets.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Their calcium should be chopped up frozen pieces of lettuce or carrots. They should have their crickets dusted once a week.

Maintenance:

Some high requirements and some manitenace are needed. they should have a proper 10 gallon tank, plants, gravel, and places to hide, filter,heater and food in there every day.They are bottom feeders also so they will eat anything that fits in their mouth including gravel.
