Substrate and Water Needs:

THere are many diffrent substrates you can use. Paper towels work well and news paper do too but they do not look as good even though they are cheap and easy.Aspen shavings ( no pine or ceder) bed-a-beast , Cypress mulch, and orichid bark all work well. THey need a water bowl big enought for them to fin in and a misting during shedding would hurt!

Lighting and UVB:

No lighting is needed but a night day cycle would not hurt.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Cool side as low as 65* and the warm side should be FRom 80*-89* Nothin hotter the 90*. at night they can drop 10 degrees. A normall hunmititdy of 40-50% is good for them but they might need more during the shed cycle, so depending where you live depends on how much you will need to mist.

Heating and Equipment:

You can use a UTH or a heat light just as long as you have the right temps!

A 20L aquarum will work or any secure type of caging with 2.5< square feet.

IS not really too hard you just need to spot clean as necasary

Some Words on this Species:

a good beginer spices but they are constantally moving so some boas might be better for smaller children.
