Sexing and Characteristics:

Yellow anacondas are very pretty. baby anacondas will be about 2ft+. males will get about 8-10ft females 10-14ft. i would suggest you buy a snake from a breeder not from a pet shop. snakes that are wild caught could have: Water Blisters
- Respiratory Infections
- Worms
- Other Internal and External Parasites
- Scaring
- Reluctant feeders
- mites
-mouth rot.

Mostly Active During:

Night

Substrate and Water Needs:

I recommend using newspaper because its cheap and easy to clean. since anacondas are usually in there water they spill it every were and could start to mold if you use reptic bark or any other wood source.

Lighting and UVB:

They don’t need special lighting but i recommend getting them UV bulbs for every snakes to bask in.

Temperatures and Humidity:

A basking spot of 88-90 F and background temperature of 78-80 F. The snake will need to have a constant humidity range of 50-60%.

Heating and Equipment:

You can use under cage heating pads, ceramic heat emitters, or basking bulbs (will have to switch day time and night time bulbs to cause less stress on the snake). I would use under cage heat with florescent bulbs in a smaller 4’ and 6’ cages, and I use Basking bulbs in a large 8’ cages. Well, they both work out fine.

Caging Provided:

I would recommend ether building a cage or getting a plastic cage because glass cages are harder to keep humidity and the screen can cut there nose from the snake rubbing on it.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

I would feed the snake every 6-7days.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Maintenance:

Be cautious when handling, never handle any snake over 10ft because you may think it is tame and it might just smell or see you move to fast. i change my snakes water daily so its not dirty and can cause any bugs or infections. these snakes will spend most of there time in the water bowl.
