Sexing and Characteristics:

Well the best way to sex a ball python or any snake is probing or when adults the females are bigger than the male and females tend to have bigger spurs

Mostly Active During:

Night

Substrate and Water Needs:

I keep my ball pythons on bark changed every month but before you put the bark in put a half a pint of water in to a bag and put it in to the microwave to kill mites and bacteria that might be in the bark you can also use aspen but is prone to mold/newspaper is very good for humidity and astro turf a water bowl is a must big enough for your whole snake to fit it self in and change water every day

Lighting and UVB:

These snakes are nocturnal so UV light is not nessecy

but you can use a normal house light bulb MUST HAVE A GUARD ON ANY THING THAT GETS HOT 12 hrs on 12 hrs off but overhead lighting is stressful to ball pythons so i do not use them

Temperatures and Humidity:

Having the right temperature is critical for digestion of food and and the life of a healthy snake. i keep mine at 85f-90f at the hot end and 75f-80at the cool end. having the right humidity is very important the recommended humidity is about 70% if low humidity is constant it can lead to improper shedding and respiratory infections

Heating and Equipment:

I use ceramic heaters WITH A STAT for my ball pythons and do not use hot rocks they can burn your snakes badly

Caging Provided:

A 10 gallon tank will be plenty a enough for a baby ball python but when the get bigger the tank size should be uprated to 38x12x18 but do not have a huge tank as ball pythons hate allot of space and this will stress your snake if so have lots of hiding places

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

A baby ball python will eat a pinkie once a week but when in audit hude you should feed them atlesst 1 medium rat every 2-3 weeks

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

None
