Cope’s Grey Tree Frog

Sexing and Characteristics:

N/A. Though both male and female, both species, have yellowish- orange markings on bottom of their legs.

Mostly Active During:

Night

Substrate and Water Needs:

For substrates i use damp dirt for a base, then on top of it i place a layer of ESU Terrarium moss. For water i place a hard plastic bowl in the corner of the terrarium. You should also spray the terrarium daily for humidity/ drinking sources.

Lighting and UVB:

I only use and incadeseant bulb that doesn’t give off heat for display.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Temp: 65-75 degrees Farenheit. The humidity levels in the cage should be higher than the heat, like in the 80’s, 90’s.

Heating and Equipment:

Equipment: I use logs, leaves, and twigs from nature for climbing tools. You should always clean the climbing tools thuroughly to kill any bacteria on it. I also use live/artificial plants for decoration.

Caging Provided:

For caging it is best to use a terrarium that is higher than it is long for tree frogs like to climb up. a 10 gallon is good for 2, 15 gallon for 3, etc. With every tree frog you aquire, add 5 gallons to the terrarium size.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

I feed mine crickets, small worms and moths, all dipped in Tetra-Terrafauna calcium powder.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Tetra-Terrafauna calcium powder for all food sources.

Maintenance:

Clean the cages weekly, water bowls daily, and always have it humid and damp inside the terrarium, since they will dry up without water.

Some Words on this Species:

These tree frogs can be housed with green or barking tree frogs, which have the same requirements as a Grey Tree Frog.
