Sexing and Characteristics:

Males have a V above the butt place.

Mostly Active During:

Night

Substrate and Water Needs:

Best substrates are: Reptile carpet,Paper towels, Bathroom tiles,slate,Carpet liner. Never use any lose particle substrate. Your leo may ingest it and get impacted, eventually will die...
Provide a small water dish for the leo to drink and maybe soak in...

Lighting and UVB:

Leos do not need UVB because they are nocturnal... I would give them a light to know when its day time...

Temperatures and Humidity:

The temperatures during the day should be 86 to 90 degrees. It can drop to 80 at night.
Very little humidity, for humidity provide a humid hide. This is a hide that is humid. Use a Tupperware sandwich holder, cut a hole big enough for your leo to get into, then fill it with paper towels or moss, even eco earth and spray till damp. This hide will aid in shedding and also a comfy place to sleep...

Heating and Equipment:

There are only two ways to heat your tank that i know. Heat lamp and UTH ( under tank heater). If you use a UTH Put the setting at 75 degrees, and get a small wattage lamp so you can have a lamp for daytime. You may need to experiment to get it right with the wattages and settings.

Caging Provided:

10 Gallon is minimum. 20 gallon is best, and also can house two leos. A good setup has to have these items: Two caves one on hot other on cool, humid hide on hot side, water dish, calcium dish,and lots of stuff to climb...

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

There diet consist of, lobster roaches, Crickets, mealworms, silkworms and phoenix worms. Feed every day!!!!!!!!! As much as they will eat in 15 min.
Wax worms as treats..

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Two kinds of supplements: Sandfire foods d3: Repti cal or any other product that has pure calcium. have pure calcium in tank at all times use d3 3 times a week

Maintenance:

Spot clean every month, but pick up any poop when you see it.

Some Words on this Species:

My first gecko and my favorite. These geckos are very docile, affectionate, and love attention. Very cool to watch and feed. I love mine to death.
And also don’t pick up by the tail..
