 Care Sheet Submitted By: Steve

Years Experience: 1 to 2 Years

 Main Category: Lizards

 Sub Category: Geckos

 Species: Golden,marbled,leopard,tokay,fat tail,tree frog

Other Species or Phases this Care Sheet May Cover:
i also have a tree frog living among my 6 geckos. from what i know of him so far, he tends to take a liking in the same diets my geckos share(as far as eating) which consists of crickets, moths, spiders, beetles,

 Sexing and Characteristics:
One of the two of my tokay geckos is a male which i am considering to breed he is about 9 inch in length with a 2 1/2 inch head. he gets pissed easy and when he does he turns black. but lives well among all the other geckos... so far! i have a male leopard he just chills and is cool to watch hunt. fat tail is a male, him and leopard are buddies even sleep in the same hiding place. golden is a male, he minds his own buisness and is a very skillful hunter as well. marbled is a female acrobat!! shes loved. female tokay is nice she bit me yesterday though! lol

 Mostly Active During: Night

 Substrate and Water Needs:
I use calcuim sand. it tends to work best, easy to maintain with a little spot cleaning. 3 water dishes. one up high in the branches one near basking area to increase humidity and biggest dish in cooler end of vivaruim.

 Lighting and UVB:
Some say uv lighting is unecessary for nocturnal reptiles but id like to argue that. uv lighting is important nocturnal or duirnal because it substitutes sun light in result, maintains very good health.

 Tempatures and Humidity:
85-90 basking, 75-80 cooler end. 70-75 night temp.

 Heating and Equipment:
It is important to have red or black basking light for these nocturnal geckos due to their sensitive eyes, you dont want to damage that sense. not only can they hunt more suffiently but you can also watch this behavior.

 Caging Provided:
I keep all six in a 55 gallon vivarium.

 Diet:  Omnivorous

 Description of Diet:
Crickets, moths(preferred strongly by ecko my marbled), spiders, beetles, meal worms ,roaches. (basically anything i can catch that i would think they’d like)

 Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:
Would they have dusted and gut loaded insects if they lived in the wild? i just feed my crickets potatoes to impact them with water.

 Maintenance:
Spot cleaning is necessary, clean tank and refresh water bowls as needed. sray misting is important also because not all geckos drink directly out of a bowl they like to lick the water off their eyes. i have 100 watts for basking temps set towrds hotter end of tank which is switched to infarred in accordance with outside lighting.

 Some Words on this Species:
They all live together in harmony. they are really fun to watch. even my tree frog whiich i caught outiside.(florida baby!) feel free to email me dsflaboy69692001@yahoo.com
