Substrate and Water Needs:

First you can use these substrates,
paper towels
reptile carpet
repti bark
newspaper
Carpet
potting soil
They need a large water dish big enough for the snake to submerge it self in the water and actually swim

Lighting and UVB:

They do not require uvb but can make your snakes colors very bright. They need 12 hours of light.

Temperatures and Humidity:

The temps in the tank should be 86 degrees. No humidity needed but spray with water if your snake is having trouble shedding.

Heating and Equipment:

There are alot of things you can use to heat up your cage. The heating products to use are, UTH, a lamp. Use one of those to heat up your tank. Items that should not be used are Hot rocks.

Caging Provided:

For one ribbon snake the can be in a 10 gallon all their life, a garter will need a 20 gallon garters grow very long. I have one garter in a 29 gallon, soil as bedding and a cave on hot side, and a cave on the cool side. I have lots of stuff for my snake to climb, and a large water bowl in the middle.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

You can feed fish (rosy reds, guppies, tadpoles)no comets or goldfish.You can also feed pinkys which are the healthiest.Earthworms once in a while.Remember with no heat they will not digest there food. Feed ur snake 3 to 4 times a week. in a pattern like this: Monday 3 fish,Thursday 4 fish, this depends on the size of ur snake.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Dust calcium on food every two feedings.pinkys require none.

Maintenance:

Very easy to care for.i luv them
