Substrate and Water Needs:

Reptile bark but considering switching to something cleaner like face cloths, towels or carpet.

Lighting and UVB:

Natural light
Repti Glow 5.0 30% UVA 5% UVB lamp 10 hours a day
Heat Lamp all the time

Temperatures and Humidity:

Temp: One side 80-90 degrees other side something over 70

Humidity: 45-50

Heating and Equipment:

UV Lamp 10 hours on during the day
heat lamp (black light) on all the time
10" by 11" desert heat wave substrate heater (sticks to the bottom of the tank) on all the time

Caging Provided:

Glass Aquarium (plastic is cheaper)
Mesh top (it’s better to get something else some snakes are known for rubbing their noses against it which can get it infected so you have to be careful)

LEFT (warm side):

*dun dun dun* heat rock (in a face cloth so he doesn’t burn if he touches it)
hollow log to hide in
Water dish some say to keep it on the cooler side I guess so it doesn’t evaporate? I’m trying to up my humidity though...

Description of Diet:

1 fuzzy a week

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Supplements are good on younger pray such as pinkies which do not have as much nutrition

Maintenance:

Fresh water every day (He does bath and drink in it after all)
Mist Joe every day
Feed once a week
pick up droppings whenever made

Some Words on this Species:

Joe was quite snappy at first but tamed with handling. King snakes are great for first timers because they are said to be indestructible
