Feeding
Leos eat waxworms, mealworms, crickets, etc. Crickets should be the staple, but always have mealworms in its cage. As adults, they can eat pinkie mice, but not as a staple. They should be fed crickets about half the size of their head. For juvis’ crickets should be fed once every 1 to 2 days. Adults should be fed every 2 to 3 days. Pray should be dusted with calcim dust one ever 1 to 3 days. Water should be replaced daily with new water. No clorine or other chemicals should be in the drinking water.
Matinince
During the sheeding process, leos will eat their old skin. Any skin that is not eaten should be removed by putting the leo into some warm water. the water should be shallow. Gentally scrape off any skin that wasn’t removed with a cotten stick. DO NOT PICK UP YOUR LEO BY THE TAIL. The tail will easily fall off. A tail will grow back, but it won’t be as good as the original.
Substrate
Sand is not recomended, for it can be impacted, leading to death for your leo. Something as simple as newspaper can be used.
