Sexing and Characteristics:

The males have a bulge between their tail and body, the females don’t.

Mostly Active During:

Day

Substrate and Water Needs:

Sand is what they would have in the wild, however, a mix of sand, mulch, and wood chips also works. newspaper is fine for babies.

Lighting and UVB:

UVA is needed

Temperatures and Humidity:

Cool side-75
warm side-85
basking-98-103.

Heating and Equipment:

NO HOT ROCKS
a strong basking bulb because they like it hot as well as some sort of light that produced UVB.

Caging Provided:

I have a single male in a 30 gallon long, a 20 gallon is absolutely minimum though. have a basking spot and places to climb, aloe plants work well.

Diet:

Omnivorous

Description of Diet:

Offer crix every day, offer salad every other day, offer mealworms about 1-2 times a week

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Dust with vitamin/calcium supplements every two days

Maintenance:

Spot clean every day, soak every 4 days if there is no water dish in the tank
