Sexing and Characteristics:

Finding out sex is very simple. if you look at the underside of a crested gecko you a larger bump for a male, or a filter bump for the female. this is located right under the geckos tail.

Mostly Active During:

Night

Substrate and Water Needs:

Change the water of the gecko every day, and be sure to use a chlorine decreasing substance in the water. (directions of use provided on back of container).

Lighting and UVB:

I found that UVB lighting is not necessary for the crested gecko
and neither is lighting the cage using the light from the room that you are keeping the gecko in works fine

Temperatures and Humidity:

Maintain the habitat between temperature between, 72 and 82 F during the day and 65 and 75 F at night. mist geckos cage to maintain the humidity between 50% and 60% during the day and 60% and 75% during the night.

Heating and Equipment:

Using a heat lamp with a night glow light works fine. (do not use heated rocks they can get to hot and crested geckos have no nerves on their stomachs so the will stay on it while they are burning.)

Caging Provided:

I provide a 10 gallon tank the with a 10 gallon enlarger to go on top to provide extra climbing room. be sure to provide enough climbing equipment for the gecko and enough hiding spots as well.

Diet:

Omnivorous

Description of Diet:

I provide a diet that is crickets and baby food. Crested geckos eat many thing suck as crickets, wax worms, butter worms and meal worms are just some of the live foods . they also eat sweet baby food such as (peach, apricot and banana) are just a few.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

If you use crickets coat crickets with a sprinkle of Vitamin and calcium supplements. for baby food you can also sprinkle a little CAL and vitamin supplements and mix it in.
