Sexing and Characteristics:

They are around 10-14 centimeters long, two thirds being the tail. The males tend to be a little darker with their pelt. They also have a bulge at the base of their tail. The Females have a duller pelt, a small triangular head, and no bulge at the base of their tale.

Substrate and Water Needs:

You would want a small container of water, it doesn’t have to be big enough so they can swim in it, just so they can drink; for they are constant drinkers. The substrate should be sand, or wood chips.

Lighting and UVB:

They should have 12 hours of lighting, and the other 12 hours with out lighting.

Temperatures and Humidity:

The temperature should be no more than 75 degrees during the day, and around 70 during the evening.

Heating and Equipment:

They should have something they can hide in, such as a small cave. They tend to like plants real or fake. They should also have something that they can climb on, such as a branch.

Caging Provided:

You would want something around 10 gallons for one, and 10-15 for two.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

You can feed them cricket’s, meal-worms, and wax worms.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Sprinkle crickets with cricket calcium twice a week,. If you are using sink water, put Repti Safe in the water.

Maintenance:

Clean the cage once a month, and the water every day and you should be fine.

Some Words on this Species:

Very good species, and in most cases very calm. They can use their tail for various things, such as getting to higher places.
