Sexing and Characteristics:

Females generally have a larger head than males. But to be positive, go to a reptile vet and get the snake probed.

Mostly Active During:

Night

Substrate and Water Needs:

Substrate be One of many things. NEVER use Cedar of Pine wood chips...The Better substrates are Aspen wood Chips, astroturf, newspaper, and Repti Bark.

Lighting and UVB:

Heat lamps are okay but they suck the humidity out very fast.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Temps Should be VERY steady At anywhere from 84 to 92 degrees. Humidity is necessary and should be maintained around 55 to 65 and during shedding, should be boosted up to around 75 to 80.

Heating and Equipment:

Must have an under tank heater. Heat lamps are okay.
Thermometer and Hygrometers are Necessary.. the electronic ones are the best. (12$ at Walmart). Never use the tape thermometer

Caging Provided:

When baby’s 10 to 20 gallon are fine.
When Full grown 30 to fifty gallon work.. No higher than 50. Tubs are said to be much better and are cheaper and hold humidity better.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Mice and Rats
Babies eat hopper mice
Medium sized eat medium to adult mice
Full grown eat Adult Mice and small Rats
Eat once ever 6 to 10 days depending on owner/breeder

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

None

Maintenance:

Very Low. Clean the cage every now and then and just scoop the poop when ever found. Alright to be left alone for a week for a beach trip or something of the sort..
