Sexing and Characteristics:

By probing by a experienced vet.They are a very heavy bodied snake with males getting about 3 to 4 feet and females getting 4 to 6 feet

Mostly Active During:

Night

Substrate and Water Needs:

You can use aspen,newspaper,reptibark,papertowels,and NEVER USE CEDER because it is toxic to your snake.keep a water bowl that is big enough so it can completely get in to and change every five to seven days.

Lighting and UVB:

No uvb required.As for lighting goes use a 75 inferred bulb or just a normal bulb would be fine but I would use the inferred bulb.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Try to keep the temperature 90 to 95 in the hot end and 80 to 85 in the cool end.Try to keep the humidity 50 to 60 percent humidity.

Heating and Equipment:

You can use a heat lamp and a under tank heater or heat tape.DO NOT USE HEAT ROCKS BECAUSE THEY CAN GIVE REALLY BAD BURNS TO YOUR SNAKE.

Caging Provided:

Well I use a 10 gallon for babies and a 30 or a 40 gallon for adult.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Babies can be fed on fuzzies or hoppers and when they are around two feet or so they can eat adult mice and when they get three feet or so they can eat a small rat depending on the head size.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

None

Maintenance:

Very easy.They don’t get to big.They are not messy.

Some Words on this Species:

This is my favorite snake because they are so easy to take care of and they don’t get to big and like other pythons that eat huge ball python don’t eat anything really bigger then a small rat.
