Species:

Chinese Water Dragon

Other Species or Phases this Care Sheet May Cover:

Just the Chinese Water Dragon. I THINK

Sexing and Characteristics:

Keep two males out of the same tank or you must have a big tank. Keep to females out of the same tank or you must have a big tank. Males grow to about 3 feet and females grow to about 2 feet. Most of the length is made up of the tail.

Mostly Active During:

Day

Substrate and Water Needs:

Keep the water out of direct heat. Water must be big enough for water dragon to walk through and lay in. Sometimes they even swim in it.

Lighting and UVB:

Never use a heating rock. I suggest using a Normal heating light on the top of you tank. It doesn’t have to be attached to a clip or stand it comes with. You can just lay it on top of your tank. Never lay it on top of your water. The water will evaporate fast and you will have to refill it about twice a day maybe. I personally have my light on the right center part of my tank laying on the screen.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Keep the temperature to 80F. And the humidity should be 80%.

Heating and Equipment:

Nothing...just keep the temperature around 80F and have a heating light or a heating mat. NO HEATING ROCKS.

Caging Provided:

Keep the cage twice the size of you water dragon, with a large water bowl for it to lay in. The water bowl should cover 1/2 its body or more in height.

Diet:

Omnivorous

Description of Diet:

You should feed your water dragon earth worms, crickets, meal worms if it is a baby/juvenile. If it is an adult u can feed it larger crickets and king worms. AVOID WILD ANIMALS. THEY MIGHT BE SICK OR MIGHT BE CARRYING SOME DISEASE. They eat lettuce also. They like the darker leaves better.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

You can put calcium and vitamins on their lettuce.

Maintenance:
