Sexing and Characteristics:

Males are way smaller and they have a very dark throat. Females are bigger, and do not crock.

I would use moss or soil. For water use a dish that is no deeper that the toads belly.

Keep it at room temp. Not to hot or they will cook like eggs on a sidewalk.

None, room temp.

For the cage you can use or buy a 5 gallon tank, 5 gallons every toad. A 20 gallon can house up to 4 toads at a time.

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

They eat a diet from worms to crickets. Just drop in a few crickets every 3 days. Make sure if you have more than one toad, make sure that toad gets the same amount. You can also do the same with worms, slugs, millipedes and more.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Dust about 4 crickets at a time, every 2 weeks. Make sure you don’t forget, or their color will go "blah".

Maintenance:

Clean Tide-bits up here and there, like poo and etc. Fix plants that are knocked down. Change water every 2 to 3 days, 4 days the max.

Some Words on this Species:

Well I have 3 American toads and they are very simple to take care of. They are easy to hand tame. And like to be held, sometimes!
