This care sheet is about emperor scoprions.

Sexing and Characteristics:

If you want to tell the gender of your emperor scorpion,you have to look at the pectines under it.Male emperor scorpions have larger pectines while female emperor scorpions have smaller ones.

Mostly Active During:

Night

Substrate and Water Needs:

Emperor scorpions need damp potting soil.2-4 inches is good enough.Remember to keep the soil moist but not WET.

Lighting and UVB:

Emperor scorpions are nocturnal and do no need uvb or light.
DO NOT put a uvb light for your emperor scorpion because this will cause your emperor scorpion to stress out and may possibly die.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Emperor scorpions come from a land where it is hot and moist.The following is a MUST and you must follow these statements if you want your scorpion to not get stressed.Temperatures have to be between 85-95 f.Humidity has to be 80-90%.Do not let humidity fall below 80%.

Heating and Equipment:

A heat mat is optional but it rarely heats anything up.NEVER USE HOT ROCKS as it will burn your scorpion.A heat lamp is okay for your scorpion as long as it has hiding places.

Caging Provided:

10 gallons are enough for one emperor scorpion.Do not provide too much room as it will be difficult for your scorpion to find food.Remember to have some hiding places for your emperor scorpion as it will stress out if you dont.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Crickets,worms of any kind,and other insects.Small scorpions eat smaller insects and bigger scorpions eat bigger insects.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

None are needed as long as you vary the diet.

Maintenance:

Emperor scorpions still need maintenance even though they are considered ’’maintenance free pets’’.
