Sexing and Characteristics:

Green backs with red bellies with black dots all over body.

Breads during the spring and chirp very softly.

Substrate and Water Needs:

Substrate can include moss, dirt, gravel(not preferred), mulch, and reptile carpet.

Water: You can use a water dish that requires weekly cleaning, or you can have a filter and fill the tank with water with a land section.

Lighting and UVB:

UVB strip light is what i use for my toads, but you can also use UVA.

Temperatures and Humidity:

The temperature can range from 68-80, which the UVB strip light gives for your toads=), and the humidity should range from 65-85%.

Heating and Equipment:

If you have a water terrarium you can use a heater at 71 degrees, or you can use the UVA bulbs.

Caging Provided:

10 gallon tanks can hold up to 4 frogs although I have heard you can hold up to 6.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Fire bellied toads can eat meal worms, earthworms, crickets(small), and wax worms.Flies can be fed but I think they are to much of a hassle.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Calcium dust can be dusted on the food ass well as vitamin supplements.

Maintenance:

If you have a land terrarium, the water must be changed 1 a week, and a water terrarium can have a filter so you don’t have to clean the water weekly.
