Sexing and Characteristics:

Dark to light brown. Ranges from1-3 inches.

Mostly Active During:

Both

Substrate and Water Needs:

Substrates:mulch, rocks(not preferred), dirt, and moss.

Water:You can use a water dish that is big enough for the tank.

Lighting and UVB:

Lighting:UVB strip lights, UVB bulbs, or UVA bulbs.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Temperatures should range from 55-78. The reason for the low temperatures is because the wood frogs have anti-freeze which allows them to survive in cold environments, including winter.
There is little humidity required, so only 1 round of spray every 2 weeks.

Heating and Equipment:

There is no heating required except for UVB rays witch gives off very little heat.

Caging Provided:

10 gallon tanks can hold up to 4 frogs.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Diet:earthworms, meal worms, crickets(small), and possible wax worms.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Calcium dust can be dusted on the toads food once a week.

Maintenance:

Water bowls should be cleaned and changed weekly and the substrate should be cleaned or changed twice a month.

Wood frogs are a fascinating frog to learn about because of its ability to antifreeze during the winter and still live!!
