Frogs

 Care Sheet Submitted By:

Years Experience:

3 to 5 Years

Species:

Grey tree frog

Other Species or Phases this Care Sheet May Cover:

Grey Tree Frog

Sexing and Characteristics:

Its pretty much impossible to tell until mating season
wich is in march through the end of april

Mostly Active During:

Night

Substrate and Water Needs:

You have a pretty strong liberty with what you use as a substrate.
But I advise against using something that is in small pieces that could maybe by some freack accident get in the frogs mouth.

For water you need to set up a little pool of some sort among the branches at the top of the tank so they can soak in it, I use the bottom cut out from a milk jug.

Lighting and UVB:

UV lights will help with stress relief for the frog thus giving it a better color and gives you longer to enjoy it.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Temp should be about 70-80 in the summer and about 50-60 in the winter if you desire it to hybernate

and humidity should be 80-90

Heating and Equipment:

Under tank heaters work well

Caging Provided:

The higher the tank the better, they arent called tree frogs for nothing, they LOVE to be as high up as they can go. you need to give them alot pf branches to hide and climb among too

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Crickets will work well if you dust them about once or twice a month.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

I advise dusting the food you give them atleast once every 3 times you feed it

Maintenance:

They are pretty picky about how clean the tank is.
Mold can be quite lethal for frogs so be carefull about that with misting.

Some Words on this Species:

This is my favorite pet!
They have very attractive coloring and its fun to watch them eat and they have a very nice chirp if you keep them happy.
