Sexing and Characteristics:

Sexing is rather hard although the males have larger heads than females

Mostly Active During:

None

Substrate and Water Needs:

Substrate:- should be of a peat base with areas of moss
Water:- should be bottled water(NOT FROM TAPS)

Lighting and UVB:

Requires natural sunlight full spectrum light and no other lighting

Temperatures and Humidity:

Room temp with fair humidity. given a spray twice a day will keep this ok for the salamanders

Heating and Equipment:

None

Caging Provided:

2ft x 1ft tank with various natural hiding places e.g. cork bark slates, stones, moss. meke sure you wash slates and stones well. (2 salamanders to this tank but will hold 4)

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Crickets and wax worms 3-4 times per week with the ocasional guppie(1 per month and not from the shops from personal breeding) with some liver ocasionaly(1 per month, some will not take the liver)

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Vitamin suplements 2-3 times per week

Maintenance:

Keep the moss and peat damp by spraying with bottled water twice per day also change water every two days and also pick out feaces every day
