The Argentinean Black and White Tegu is a very easily tamed reptile and is an ideal pet if you have the room.
Sexing and Characteristics:
The Argentinean Black and White Tegu is good temperd and with proper handling will become tame over time. Male Argentinean Black and White Tegu are a bit lager and a bit more agressive. But that is not always the case it all depends on the lizard.

Substrate and Water Needs:
A large water dish should be provided because the Argentinean Black and White Tegu will soke every so often. Argentinean Black and White Tegu like to dig so a good substrate would be mose, but not all moses are to good. You can also use newspaper, it makes it easier to clean but the Argentinean Black and White Tegu will not be able to dig.
Lighting and UVB:
Should be provided with a UVB and a UVA light.
Temperatures and Humidity:
The temperature should be kept at around 80-90 and the basking spot should be kept around 120. there tank should be kept moist
Heating and Equipment:
A heat lamp or a heating pad should be used BUT DO NOT USE A HEAT ROCK IT CAN BURN YOUR Argentinean Black and White Tegu.
Caging Provided:
One Argentinean Black and White Tegu can be kept in a tank 6x3x2.5 they won’t use the hight and 2-3 Argentinean Black and White Tegu should be kept in a 8x4x3 tank

Omnivorous
Description of Diet:
The Argentinean Black and White Tegus will eat rodents, friut, vegetables, bugs, boiled eggs and cooked and raw meet.
Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:
Shoud be given vitamin and calcium supplements see local pet stores for details
Maintenance:
The tank should be cleaned daily and should be staralized once or twice every two weeks
