Sexing and Characteristics:

They are hermahrodites, meaning that they are both sexes, but usually need the asistance of another snail, each acting as one sex. They have a large snail about 3-5 inches long, and they have large bodies that fits in their shell.

Substrate and Water Needs:

They live on the land, not in the water. You just need to put either peat moss or sphagnum moss in their terrarium. You can go further and add bark, a water dish, but noth of these are unnecesary.

Lighting and UVB:

They do not require heating, or any light. They live in damp humidity.

Temperatures and Humidity:

It shoud only be about 18 degrees celcius and you have to spray them well, numerous times in one day. They do not drink, they get the water from the air and the water you spray on them.

Heating and Equipment:

You do not need heating at all. They need dampness and humidity.

Caging Provided:

All they need is a terrarium, plastic or glass. They are quite large so they need a lot of room if they reproduce, as they can have several hundred eggs at a time.

Diet:

Herbivorous

Description of Diet:

They eat greens, like cabbage and lettuce but can also eat bananas, peaches, apples, carrots. Almost any fruit or vegetable you find in your fridge.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

They reaquire a lot of calcium. They use that to makle there shell harder an it also helps them repare their shell if it is damaged.

Maintenance:

Clean their terrarium once every two weeks or so as they tend to dispose a lot of feces.

They are amazing for all ages, as young as 6 or 7 but are even enjoyable for 12, 13, or even 15 year olds.
