Substrate and Water Needs:

Fill the bottum with oats or bran and this is what they eat and you can even sprinkle it with calcium powder to make them healthy for your pet you are going to feed them to. For water you can get a sponge and soak it in water or use vegetables or fruits such as potatoes, carrots, and an orange. make sure you dampen the sponge about every other day or replace the vegetables and/or fruit every other day. This keeps stuff from molding.

Lighting and UVB:

Room tempature is usally fine but if you have a light that produces heat you can use it.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Between 75 and 82 degrees is good. When trying to hatch eggs try and keep it at 77 degrees.

Caging Provided:

Large tupperware container works good. Make sure you poke plenty of airholes in it or cut a large part of the top out and glue a screen top to it. make sure you have cardboard egg crates in their for hiding places this is a must. If you want to breed crickets all you have to do is place a small cointainer in there at least 5 inches high and put soil in there and make sure you keep it moist always make sure it is moist that is the key to succesfully breeding crickets. After about 3 days remove the breeding container and put it in a seperate container and in about a week you should have lots of baby crickets hatching. feed them the same as you feed any cricket and put carboard egg crates in for hiding places.

To make them healthy for your pet sprinkle their food with calcium powder.

Maintenance:

Clean cages every couple months. remove anything that is molding or rotting right away.
