Other Species or Phases this Care Sheet May Cover:
Mosly just brown or green.
Sexing and Characteristics:
The male grows anywhere between 6 1/2-8 inches. While the female can grow between 5-6 inches.
Mostly Active During:
Day
Substrate and Water Needs:
Give then a small dish like a money dish to bathe in if you have a bigger cage. for smaller cages you can go to petco and get a special dish. They usually won’t drink standing water. If they don’t just give them a squirt or two of water. Because they are dew drinkers.
Lighting and UVB:
I recomend a heating light with a bulb that ranges from a 6watt-9watt.A UVB is good for breeding.
Temperatures and Humidity:
They need 60%-80% humidity. And 75-87 degrees tempatures.
Heating and Equipment:
Try a clamp lamp for larger tanks and small clip on lights for the Reptile ranges and things that are small.
Caging Provided:
I have a Reptile Ranch which is not too deep, but is long. It’s about five gallons.
Diet:
Carnivorous
Description of Diet:
Crickets, Crickets, and more Crickets! I recomend cricket but, only soft- shelled or your anole will not digest correct and die. Pinheads or small crickets. Wax worms too, but only if you Anole is very skinny and needs some fat. Meal worms but only is they are smaller than your Anoles head.CAUTION NEVER EVER FEED YOUR ANOLE ANYTHING FROM THE OUTSIDE. THE RISK OF A DIEASE IF EXREAMLY HIGH! GO TO THE PETSHOP TO BUY YOUR FOOD!
Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:
Calcium is great! It provides great nutrition for your pets diet.
Maintenance:
Clean your cage every three weeks. take a new sponge no soap! and get all the poo out or debree. Clean any accessories.
Some Words on this Species:
Anoles are NOT starting pets! I learned that! Start out with a frog then maybe a geico then work your way up. If they get away from you,you will never see it again. Good Luck:)!!!!!!!!!!
