Sexing and Characteristics:

I am not a trained professional so if you a new breeder you will want to go to a Herp Vet but I have been doing for so long I just Waite for a good 2 years the Females are slightly larger then males and have a normally shorter Skinner tail for body proportions

Both

Substrate and Water Needs:

I use paper towels strips and news papers strips and some times use cut up to carpet of the right size. but never sand. and it is a great idea to provide clean water weekly and a clean dish monthly

Lighting and UVB:

none is needed but will not hurt

Temperatures and Humidity:

around 80 to 85 on the hot side and 70 on the cold side and the air and flooring kept dry

Heating and Equipment:

heat strips but never heating rocks

Caging Provided:

I provide a 60 gallon tank for my adults and 15 gallon for my hatch lings

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

one normal sized mouse our small rat a week and two a week after each shed. put some times let them eat till they are no longer int rested. For the adults. and two pi inky to hatching for the first 6 sheds and the graduate to you adult mice

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

None

Maintenance:

clean cages once a week our when needed hold on a regular basis to keep happy

Some Words on this Species:

very hardy snakes to keep for the Novice and still provide great fun for the Expert. young Calis and all kings can be jumpy and smear there musk on you quit a bit but after about 2 weeks of one hour holdings a day calm down to be very calm mellow snakes to own
