Sexing and Characteristics:

These lizards are usually very placid animals and you should never put two males together because they are very territorially and will fight to the death and females are usually fine with each other as long as their is plenty of food to go around.

Mostly Active During:

Night

Substrate and Water Needs:

It is best to use newspaper or kitchen roll for the floor of the enclosure (substrate).
A shallow water bowl is best thing to use to provide water because leopard geckos drink from the water bowl.

Lighting and UVB:

UV - No need to use because these animals are active at night (nocturnal)
Red Light can be used for a night time so that you can view your animal and watch them as they hunt for their crickets.
Incandescent Light Bulb CAN BE USED FOR THE DAY TIME SO THAT THE ANIMAL IS GETTING TO KNOW TO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NIGHT AND DAY.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Hot End - 80-90
Cool End - 70-75
Humid hide should be provided to help the leopard gecko shed.

Heating and Equipment:

You can use a heat lamp or a under tank heater.
A thermostat is very important because it helps prevent your pet from becoming too hot or too cold.

Caging Provided:

Provide a 10 gallon aquarium or more.
You can also provide a vivarium for the gecko.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Leopard geckos eat Crickets, Mealworms, Waxworms, Locusts and the odd Pinkie.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

All of the geckos food should be dusted.

Maintenance:

Is very low maintenance, just make sure yer clean the toilet area everyday and clean the leopard gecko’s water bowl daily.
