Sexing and Characteristics: | Males have longer tails while females have shorter stubbier tails. |

Substrate and Water Needs: | I use newspaper as substrate. I provide a fairly large water bowl made by zoo med. |
Lighting and UVB: | I use a 60w sun-glo lamp made by exo-terra although UV is not necessary it is beneficial. If you use a heat lamp make a hot side of tank and a cool side to allow snake to thermoregulate. |
Temperatures and Humidity: | 70-75 on cool side 77-85 on warm side. |
Heating and Equipment: | Sun-glo heat lamp. |
Caging Provided: | I have a ten gallon tank that houses 2 Adult Ribbon snakes. |
Diet: | Carnivorous |
Description of Diet: | I feed them rosy red minnows 12 per snake once a week. |
Supplements, Nutrition and Usage: | I used rep-cal calcium supplement and give each snake one dusted fish at each feeding. |
Maintenance: | Clean cage at least once every two weeks. Clean water whenever it is fouled or every third day. |
