Mostly Active During:

Day

Substrate and Water Needs:

I use sand and bark 30%sand and 70%bark fresh drinking water each day and I also use a baking tin for its bathing which it does use.

Lighting and UVB:

Spotlight and UVB I also use the vitamin powder as well as the UVB but I do belive 1 or the other will do lighting on from 7am to 7pm.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Aprox 1/3rd of tank arround 70 to 80 degrees and the rest for him to chill.

Heating and Equipment:

Heatmat on 24hrs spotlight as above heatmat is safer under the tank as they like to dig.

Caging Provided:

Homemade home 4ft x 2ft x 15"ventalated glass top and font glass.
The rest is wood base has section cut out with glass insert with heatmat uderneath sides and back finished with sand and foliage

Diet:

Omnivorous

Description of Diet:

Mine feeds on fruit of all types but seems to prefer plum and mostly orange 2x a week a selection of
pinkie mice/cricits/locust/earth worms and domestic spiders eats mealworms but doesn’t seem keen on them.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Vitamin powder sprinkied lightly over food
I feed mine each morning with fruit and other foods 2/3 times a week. Occassionally and I mean occassionally it doesn’t touch its food.

Maintenance:

Clean out its waste producs daily (you know what I mean)
remove substrate every 6 weeks if needed.

Some Words on this Species:

Experience I’ve had with is’nt long. I’ve found the lizard to be interesting,especially at meal times as with prey it crouches over them as if to say come on put up a fight .
Able to handle and stroke for short periods, generally a hardy little creature.
