They can be brown to black to brown or black with a red stripe on its back

Sexing and Characteristics:

The females are usually bigger than the males and the males during mating season have a knob on their tails

They should have real plants and dirt in their terrarium,they should have a good size water bowl to high humidity

The salamanders don’t need any specific lighting

The temp. should be around the temp u caught them in

They don’t require any specific heating

Caging Provided:

A 10 gallon aquarium should house up to 2 males and 4 females

Diet:

Omnivorous

Description of Diet:

The RedBack will eat vegetables to small bugs to crickets,worms,mealworms, all the way to moths

You should put in enough so that each salamander has 2 things to eat

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

If they are caught in the wild i don’t use supplements

Maintenance:

These salamanders don’t need much maintenance their tank needs cleaned out once a week
