the crest on the neck will get higher.
the spikes will grow longer.

Both

Substrate and Water Needs:

Wood: Not good on the lizards stomach or his/her gums. Crickets can hide and it makes it hard for your lizard to find.

Green Moss: this is good to put around the holes and the bases of trees or real/fake plants. It won’t let the crickets hide as easily and it makes it look more tropical at the same time.

Gravel: This isn’t good on your lizards stomach either.

Pet Carpet: This is the best because its good bedding and really soft on your lizards stomach. if the water spills it soaks into the carpet and it won’t leave any messy resido.

And as far as water goes with water dragons i would recommend using a frisbee full of water. Boy do they love the water. but you should change their water about every day maybe even every 2 days if there is no stool in it.

Lighting and UVB:

The cage should have a basking spot for your lizard to get warm if it needs to. It should be no further than 10 inches from the light. The type of lights you should use UVB flourecent lighting. Using natural unfiltered sunlight would be the best solution, but for those who can’t , use the UVBlighting. But make sure that you have a UVB light and not a UVA light. UVB provides vitamin D3, which is important for the lizards to have.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Yor cage should be between 84 and 88F (28.9C-31.1C)during the day. During the night your cage should be between 75 to 80F (23.9-26.7C).
The humidity level should be about 80%, try getting a gage that measures the humidity to help control it. Spray the cage atleast 2 times a day. Live plants also help out with this. If you still have trouble with the humidity try putting a towel over half of the screento help keep in the moisture. DO NOT cover the whole screen, but if your still having trouble try puting a humidifier on the other side of the room and keep it on all day.

Heating and Equipment:

Just use the UVb light and do not use a heat rock. You should also ake it so that it has a very tropical look.

Caging Provided:

The size of your cage all depends on the size of the amount of how many lizards you have.
If it is just one then you should use a 60 gallon tank. If it more then onjer then you should use anything from 80-100 gallons.

Diet:

Omnivorous

Description of Diet:

Getting the calcium and the nutrition that they need.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

A good way to give your lizard the calcium that it needs is to buy calcium powder at your local pet store. Make sure it is Phophorous free and that it is has vitamin D3. there are also multivitamin powders that help with the growth and health of your lizard. The herptitive you cay put a pinch on a water bottle and spray the lizard and the vitamins will soak into its skin and it will help with the shedding, plus its just good for the skin. You can also put a little bit in to his water dish.
