Sexing and Characteristics:
Sexing is hard to tell when they are young. The male has a bigger crest and females have none.

Substrate and Water Needs:
I use dirt from out in my yard for my basilisks
A Big water bowl should be used that can fit his/her whole body and tail in.
Lighting and UVB:
Yes UVB and UVA should be offered.
I leave my lights on 24 hours a day.
Temperatures and Humidity:
I mist my cage 3 times a day and with the bowl of water, it is nice and humid in the cage
Heating and Equipment:
A heat lamp with a UVB light.
The basking spot should be about 95F.
cool side should be about 70
Caging Provided:
A baby can be started off in a 20 gallon and a adult should be in a 4ft tall 3ft wide 3ft deep
Diet:
Carnivorous
Description of Diet:
U can feed roaches , crix , meal worms, red worms, earth worms, and grass hoppers. When they get about 2ft u can offer pinkys.
Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:
I use zoo med’s reptivite reptile vitamins.
Maintenance:
Very easy. I spot clean every day.
