Substrate and Water Needs:

The pet stores seem to keep them in a tank full of water with an external filter.
I prefer to keep them in a tank that is half water and a half gravel, with so moss and a cave or 2 on the gravel out of the water.

Lighting and UVB:

I use a dome style light with a 40watt bulb on a timer to give them 9 hours of light a day. This heats the tank up to around 85 deg. I have not seen any problems from not using a UV bulb.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Day time tempatures are about 85 deg. (with light on) and at night it slowly cools to about 76 deg. (the room temp).
I do not do anything speacial for the humidity, since half the tank is water and they have the moss and caves to hide in if the light starts to dry they too much.
