Sexing and Characteristics:

Substrate and Water Needs:

Water can be given a couple of different ways, just using moist plant matter, using a lid of a peanut butter container and cutting a sponge to fit the lid, or if you plan on not looking after them for a while (strongly not recommend) you can place a sponge or cotton in a reptile fountain. The substrate can be tropical fish flakes, this is expensive so i would just use bran, rolled oats, or plain mini-wheat’s. They will eat this. You will need a 4-6 inch deep dish for soil (bed-a-beast is the best) for laying eggs if u intend to breed for food.

Lighting and UVB:

I use a UV light for heat and I’m not sure if they need the UV but i have tons of them i use old ones that I’ve had to replace (the six month rule)

Temperatures and Humidity:

70-80 degrees F. especially if Ur intending to breed for a food supply for Ur herp. Humidity is fairly bad as it creates mold.

Heating and Equipment:

Generally just a normal 100 watt light bulb is sufficient.

A rubber maid container with a hole cut into the lid so you can glue a screen mesh on.

Herbivorous

Fish food flakes, rolled oats, bran flakes, crushed mini wheat’s can be used as a dry food alpha hay is good too. fruits and veggies are good for a food and should be place every other day
