Sexing and Characteristics:

Males have longer tails than females

Mostly Active During:

Night

Substrate and Water Needs:

Aspen shavings are good but then some people use shredded newspaper or lay down news paper. if you will use news paper please get some with no print on it because the ink might wash off and there will be a mess.i learned the hard way!

Lighting and UVB:

Anywhere from a 40 watt to a 100 watt bulb.

Temperatures and Humidity:

About 78 on the cool side and 92 on the warm side.

Heating and Equipment:

10 gallon tank for babies 14-20 inches is normal 15 gallon tank for juveniles 21-32 inches is normal and a 20 gallon tank for young adults 33-46 inches is normal adults need a 30 gallon tank for a adult 47-72 inches, 47 inches is average so don’t get mad if they don’t get to 6 feet.

Caging Provided:

20 gallon tank for my 25 inch yearling

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Babies eat pinkie mice, juveniles eat fuzzes or small hoppers, young adults eat hoppers to small adult mice, and adults eat adult mice to pup rats most eat adult mice.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

I use four paws vita spray prevents drying of the skin and contains electrolytes keeps pets healthier for a longer life.

Maintenance:

Clean water daily clean tank weekly and finally enjoy your snake.

Some Words on this Species:

When i stated the size of babies juveniles and etc.,i did not say that they are all ways that size at the age, my male anerythristic corn is going to be one on June 4, and he is 25 inches so don’t just say that your snake is a juvenile because of its size, a baby is a baby till 1 year old and a juvenile is a juvenile till 3 and a young adult is a young adult till 5.
