Sexing and Characteristics:

I do not know i just keep about 10 adult moths to breed and the other moths i feed to my chameleons.

Mostly Active During:

Both

Substrate and Water Needs:

Mix honey and bran in a double broiler, spread on a cookie sheet to dry. Then crumble and yes it may remain sticky. They get water from the mixture.

Lighting and UVB:

None keep them in dark and in poorly ventilated conditions.

Temperatures and Humidity:

The temperatures can range from 75-85 degrees F.

Heating and Equipment:

If needed a black or red light can be used for heat but room temperature should be sufficient.

Caging Provided:

A 5 gallon aquarium is more than good, a 2L pop bottle also works if the top is cut off.

Diet:

Herbivorous

Description of Diet:

They will eat the substrate mentioned above. 1 cup honey and 1 cup bran mix and place in a double broiler, then allow it to dry on a cookie sheet (you must spread it) then just crumble in the cage.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

You can but calcium and vitamin powder in it to make them some what better for your herp, but it does make a huge difference since there pretty much fat. They are more nutritionally complete after turning in to moths.

Maintenance:

In order to get moths you must have a screen on your cage to prevent any escapes. If you want the moths to lay eggs then you need to fold a piece of wax paper like a fan and place it in the breeding container and for the wax worms to turn into moths you must use a toilet paper tube or paper towel tube.

Some Words on this Species:

They moths make good food for chameleons and frogs. And the worms make a good treat. Only give once a week or if you have a female just lay eggs and she is thin than a dozen of these will bring her weight up.
