Sexing and Characteristics:

Males are smaller than females
Males have nuptial pads (big thumbs)
Males croak
Males have darker throats

Mostly Active During:

Night

Substrate and Water Needs:

Substrate can be a mixture of compost and damp moss.
They need a large shallow water dish that just covers half their body. Like the Exo-Terra xlarge repti rock water bowl.

Lighting and UVB:

Being a nocturnal toad they do not require much UVB. If kept in a light room, no lighting necessary.

Temperatures and Humidity:

18C to 24C degrees
50% to 65% humidity

Heating and Equipment:

Only needs a heat mat in a cold climate

Caging Provided:

70cm long 40cm high 50cm deep.
I find if u give them more room, they will use it. So if you want them 2b active give them more space.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Crickets, hoppers or locusts depending on the size of their head. Meal worms and pinkies will also be accepted occasionally.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Feed the live food on fresh fruit/veg bread and oats

Maintenance:

Can be messy but don’t take up a lot of time.
Cheap maintenance

Ive got a Rococo toad called ’Leroy, King of Puddings’ my friend named him. hes 14cm long but can grow to 25cms. they can become very tame and easily handled
