Years Experience:

3 to 5 Years

Species:

Ablino African Clawed Frogs

Other Species or Phases this Care Sheet May Cover:

African Clawed Frog..Non-Albino..

Sexing and Characteristics:

Telling the difference between the two sexes is vary simple, there is a extension very small between the legs of a female, the female is much larger. the male has no extension and is smaller. when they get older the female will release eggs. they won’t hatch you need a male for that ;)

Mostly Active During:

Both

Substrate and Water Needs:

Keep the water clean they seem to like it better clean i mean who wouldn’t. keep the frogs at a pretty much same temp all the time, exp. during winter don’t put tank by window. stuff like that. gravel bottom is fine. i have beach rocks make sure to clean if decided to use, no soups or cleans that deadly. make sure to have a filter, a air thing, they go to surface for air but it keeps water moving and its just better.

Lighting and UVB:

You don’t really need n e lighting, i mean if you put one it wouldn’t hurt make sure it’s not a high watt it’ll make water hot..

Temperatures and Humidity:

Humidity..no need it’s in water. temp room temp and a little above, just make sure your not having big water temp change creates stress.

Heating and Equipment:

For you people like me who have 5 months winters and your house does’t stay warm get water heater for them, there not to picky

Caging Provided:

I have two males in a ten gallon and it’s fine, now if you put two females in a ten problem...so i mean make sure they can swim around and have habitat, plants, rocks and a hiding place is a must they freak out when they can’t hide...

Diet:

Omnivorous

Description of Diet:

REPTOMIN!!! flouting stix break them in half
fish flakes really only use while young
feeder fish, if there to big you’ll just have another pet

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Reptomin...

Maintenance:

Don’t use your city crappy water it has stuff in it that will hurt your frog, or if you have to let it sit out 48 hours, dangers in water will evaporate and use that stuff you squirt in water to get rid of the dangers in your crappy city water..i have well water and i still use it, there’s another thing you could use stress coat when cleans and having to transfer you take off the natural slime on their bodies. it keeps them happy.

Some Words on this Species:

They are really fun to watch i sit there and watch all the time. there are horribly cute and very easy to take care of, don’t handle them or take them out they’ll dry up...k ;) they eat with their hands so that’s fun to watch their just neat you’ll love your i promise.
I love mine...QUITEN & AIDEN!!!!
