Sexing and Characteristics:

Males have baggy skin under their mouth, this is their vocal sac. Males get large thumbs in breeding season. They also croak, females don’t. Females are also about 3 cms longer than males

Mostly Active During:

Night

Substrate and Water Needs:

Half land/water. on the land put tall strong plants and a few thick branches. make the water about 6cm deep gently sloping to the land with sand. put moss over the land on the sand, it doesn’t matter if there isn’t much land because they love to climb

Lighting and UVB:

Uvb tube reptiglo 2.0, spot light -with cage. put a log near the light coz they like 2 bask, but make sure they don’t get burned. they are so laid back they r unlikely to jump on the bulb anyway. light time about 12 hrs a day

Temperatures and Humidity:

They like 80% humidity 25-30 degrees C.

Heating and Equipment:

Heat mat on the back of the viv

Caging Provided:

60cm long 60cm high 40cm deep. they like to sit in the water for long periods of time so put some water plants in for them to hide in

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

They eat mainly locusts. IMPORTANT - cut the 2 back legs off the locusts b4 feeding because the sharp spines can damage their insides!!! They also eat pinkies, anoles, guppies and green treefrogs.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

With a varied diet such as this minimal dusting of the locusts is only necessary

Maintenance:

They are low maintenance, just scoop the poos out of they water or pick them of the branches.
