Armadillo Lizard

Armadillo lizards are scrambly which them very immune to lost tail or other injuryas they get older they will get less energetic and will be easier to handle. They will usually die at 5+ years. for the first couple of days They are very timid.

Sexing and Characteristics:

Armadillo lizards are almost impossible to sex you need a professional to help you. They will never bite but will try and get away from you.

Mostly Active During:

Day

Substrate and Water Needs:

For Armadillo lizards you need a small container of water about 1/2 of an inch deep and plastic would do well. you need to spritz them 4 times a day.

Lighting and UVB:

For lights that you should use a side heater and a uvb and a fluorescent.

Temperatures and Humidity:

70 to 100 Fahrenheit and 40 to 60 humidity use spritz the tank to keep them humid. at night turn all the lights off and turn them on again every morning.

Heating and Equipment:

You need to have a heating pad and a heating lamp.

Caging Provided:

For two armadillo lizards a the least 20 gallon tank is okay but with two a 30 to 40 is better.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Feed it crickets and meal worms ( in a dish ) dipped in calcium powder.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

It needs calcium powder.

Maintenance:

Not much at all!.

Some Words on this Species:

Very cool spikey species. needs little care and gets pretty big ( to 15 inches at most).
