Sexing and Characteristics:
Male longer tail then female,the opening to the cloaca is farther down on the male.theses turtles have a red,orange,or yellow stripe down there back,they are the smallest of the painted turtle spices

Not substrate is needed(but if u want the natural look have some gravel,it also helps the turtles grip.water should always be clean.
