Sexing and Characteristics:

Leopard geckos are sexed by the males have pronounced pores in a "V" shape right before there tail starts on there underside and females do not have the "V".

Mostly Active During:

Night

Substrate and Water Needs:

Leopard geckos need a medium sized water bowl.
Juveniles can use for substrate shelf liner, tile, paper towel, repti-carpet, or anything that is not granulated.
Adults can be housed on all of the things for juveniles
DO NOT USE ANY TYPE OF SAND IT KILLS!

Lighting and UVB:

Leopard geckos do not need a UV of any kind because they are nocturnal. I use a heat lamp of 60 watts but it is not needed.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Temps- Cool side 80 F. Warm side 90 F.
Humidity less than 10%. In incubator Humidity is 80% and temps for females are 82-90 in incubator and for males 92-98 F.

Heating and Equipment:

For heat use a UTH (Under the tank heater).

Caging Provided:

I provide a 20 long glass tank with a humid hide in the middle of the tank a hide on the cool side and a hide on the warm side. For bedding I use shelf liner and repti carpet. I have a medium sized water bowl on the cool side. I have a heat lamp and a UTH for the warm side. With a screen lid.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Leos are insectivores. They can eat mealies, waxies, butter worms, supers, (They can have pinkies but they are not suggested), crix, silkies, and roaches.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Put a bowl of calcium supplement in there cage. They will find it if they need calcium. Dust there food with the calcium supplement as well.

Maintenance:

Leos usually poop in one spot of the cage so they are very easy to clean.always make sure that they have clean bowls.

Some Words on this Species:

The leopard gecko is the most addicting reptile I have ever had. They are extremely easy to breed. They are the beginner reptile/lizard. I got my first leo when I was five. If you are looking for a pet for your child that is easy to house a leo is the way to go. They can be housed in a ten gallon tank. Thank you for reading my sheet.
