For substrate u can use anything from newspaper to aspen bedding for an eye appealing substarte i would use aspen it works well but always try to feed your snake in a different cage because they may end up injesting the bedding

U will not need any special UVB lighting

Temperatures and Humidity:

I keep my temperature at 85-90 during the day and 75-78 at night if u have a hatchling try to keep it up higher then you would for older snakes also after u feed your snake raise the temperature to

As for humidity i would say keep it at around 55%-65% all of the time and when in shed try to leave right where it is as and maybe rise it a bit for an extremely successful shed

Heating and Equipment:

I use a heat lamp a basking 90 wat bulb during the day and a 40 wat red light bulb at night

Also you can use a heat pad to but it may not always keep it warm enough

NEVER USE HEAT ROCKS THEY WILL BURN YOUR SNAKE

For a hatcling a 10 gallon will do fine

For an adult corn use a minuimem of a 20 gallon tank but remeber bigger is always better

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

For hatcling 1 pinky a week

As they grow just up the size of the mouse from pinky to fuzzie to hopper etc. u may want to feed them once a week depending on what you are planing to do w/ your snake i would say every 10 days

None unless u feel the need to help your snake along

They are great for begginer’s very docile and rarely bite unless they feel threatended or they may be a little nippy when they are hatchlings because they feel the need to use there defenses
