Sexing and Characteristics:

Green Iguanas are great herps to keep some can be great and some may not mine is though.Sexing green iguanas should not be that diffucult.U might have to wait about a yr or 2 Though,Male iguanas will be more heavily bodied to bulges at the behind there vent.And i big Dewlap.Females are smaller than females.

Mostly Active During:

Day

Substrate and Water Needs:

Provide a large water dish for them to soak in clean daily.Substrate:Reptibark,aspen,astro-turf DO NOT USE PINE OR CEDAR!

Lighting and UVB:

Reptisun works great for iguanas.

Temperatures and Humidity:

85 degrees to digest their food.They have a tropical enviroment daily misting is required,80-90Degrees day time Evening:70-75degrees
<br>nightime:80 degrees
<br>Basking temp:95-100 Degrees.

Heating and Equipment:

UV light providing UVA and UVB for proper calicum metabolism skelatal develoment.

Caging Provided:

Cages should be 1 1/2 the size of them.and 2/3 the length of the iguana,branches are required for climbing and basking.Iguanans should be housed alone.

Diet:

Herbivorous

Description of Diet:

My Iguana has a diet of Collard greens,turnip greens,mustard greens,sometimes green beans hibisus and mulberry leaves are good to sometimes.Rep-cal and Zoo med works good in pelleted iguana food provied fresh water with it though.Fruits are 10% of their diet,Iguanas are ONLY veggie eaters.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

I sprinkle my iguanas food 1 a week with calicum dust,younger iguanas 1once a day.

Maintenance:

Iguanas can be a daulting task for a begginer most iguanas are forgotton so do ur homework before u buy one of these GREAT herps.And iguanas MUST need that type of heating.

Iguanas are really good for experinced ppl.Their size and color are great to have around.
