Sexing and Characteristics:

Females : Much larger then males (4 inches +)

Males: Smaller then female (3-4 inches long). Sings at night( may sing at vacuums and music). Little nuptual pads on front forlimbs durring breeding season.

Substrate and Water Needs:

Water : Large enough body of water for frog to submerge and swim around. Must be chlorine free. Water should be changed every day if you have a standing water bowl. If you have a filtered waterfall clean filter every week and change water every other week.

Substrate: Soil is perfered. Bead-a-beast or soil blocks work best. (Reptile carpet and moss can also be used.) Change bedding completely every 2 weeks and clean out fecal matter every time you see it.

Lighting and UVB:

Lighting: I provide a 12/12 cycle of regular light from my room and a special night glow bulb at night for colder nights.

Temperatures and Humidity:

Temperature: Keep the Day time temp between 76-84(F) and at night lower it to 72-76(F). A heat lamp can be used, but is best if used with an under tank heat pad.

Humidity: These are tropical frogs so keep the humidity between 60-80%. Mist in the morning and at night to help regulate humidity.

Heating and Equipment:

Heating: Heat lamp is to drying somtimes.use an under tank heat source for best heating results

Caging Provided:

Cage: A 20 gallon + tank is needed for these frogs. It should be taller then it is long and have lots of things to climb on. NOTE!! Make sure the tank has a secure lid, these frogs are prone to escaping.

Diet:

Carnivorous

Description of Diet:

Diet: these frogs will do fine on a cricket diet but i have feed my frog meal worms, and silkworms for a change in diet. Its good to give your frog a variety of things to help with a proper diet.

Supplements, Nutrition and Usage:

Crickets should be dusted with a special calcium formula every other time you feed to insure proper nutrition

Some Words on this Species:

This is a VERY interesting frog. They are very cute too. warning, their vocalizations tend to be loud! so sleeping in the same room as these frogs can be a pain because they tend to croak at night.
